BODEGA 3YR ANNIVERSARY SEPT. 2nd W/UPROOT ANDY

¡SAPO VERDE TO US!

BODEGA IS TURNING 3 YEARS OLD THIS SUNDAY AND WE'RE THROWING A MAJOR BIRTHDAY BASH TO CELEBRATE!

And to take things over the top, we've enlisted our hermano Uproot Andy of the legendary Que Bajo?! parties in NY to help us get down. If you've been down with us for a while, you know that Andy was BODEGA's very first guest three years ago when we started out as just a dream in a little space called The Far Bar.

We're all grown up now, and super excited to have Andy hit the Bodega decks once again, this time at Senor Fish. LA's own Black Shakespeare is also making his valiant return to do some special guest hosting. Plus, NO WORK ON MONDAY means we're gonna party like its 1999.

Expect dope vibes, a venue full of beautiful people (YOU), and the freshest selections in Brazilian funk, hip hop, salsa, samba, cumbia, afrobeat and more

Linda Mañana; A Musical Biography of Ondatropica: Mix by Quantic & Mario Galeano
http://univisionnews.tumblr.com/post/28014871482/ondatropica-colombia-supergroup-buena-vista

Ondatropica is a musical collaboration lead by Mario Galeano and Will Holland. The foundation of the project was laid in a three week recording session at the legendary Discos Fuentes in Medellin, Colombia. It was there that over 40 musicians came together to revisit, revive and celebrate tropical music of the country.

An 'Onda' is a soundwave, a charge of sonic energy projected out into the atmosphere. Musical explosions like Ondatropica don't come out of nowhere, each participant of Ondatropica has their own history and experience contributing to the whole. This mix celebrates the music of the individuals that make up the Ondatropica collective and the diversity of Latin America's tropical music scene. The mix features the music of Peregoyo y su Combo Vacana, Flowering Inferno, Residuo Solido, Afrosound, Grupo Canalon, Esteban Copete y su Kinteto Pacifico, Michi Sarmiento, Frente Cumbiero, Anibal Velasquez, Romperayo, Pedro Ramaya Beltran, Piano Negro, El Combo de Pepe, Alfredito Linares, Ray Perez and the Meridian Brothers!
