•Las Fotos Project:
A group of 8 Latina students were selected from the "Para Los Niños" After- School Program located on Skid Row, here in downtown Los Angeles. Throughout the 5-day intensive course the students were taught the operations of their newly acquired Samsung digital cameras (provided by the Muskoka Foundation). Following each lesson the students ventured out into their neighborhood to exercise their learned skills and techniques. The photographs displayed in the Las Fotos Project gallery exhibit are a look into their community through their eyes.
