HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!
BODEGA TURNS 4 YEARS OLD THIS SUNDAY and the celebration is going to be bonkerz!
Joining us behind the decks are:
JEREMY SOLE (KCRW / Afro Funke / theLIFT)
P.U.D.G.E. (All City Records / VJC)

We began this party in 2009 to create a space where different types of folk would be united through a shared love of music. 4 years later, Bodega is stronger than ever! We're so proud that on any given night, the dancefloor is a true reflection of the face LA -- diverse, talented & fresh as hell.
It's all about the music, ya'll. And we thank you for allowing us to create so many memories with every last one of you.

BODEGA SUNDAYS INVASION
featuring
guest deejay:
PANAMAMI
World music has gone global. As technology shrinks the planet, African, Caribbean and Latin American music rubs shoulders with electronic rhythms in clubs from Argentina to Italy, forging the sound of the new millennium; a universal groove that blends the ancient with the futuristic and leaves nobody behind. It figures that Los Angeles, maybe the most diverse city on earth, is home to one of its most progressive world music scenes. It also makes sense that it’s also home to one of the scene’s fastest-rising stars: DJ Panamami, a true-blue L.A. native, world traveler and sound selector with passion to burn.
Hip-hop, calypso, salsa underscored Panamami’s upbringing as a West Indian Panamanian growing up in Echo Park, Los Angeles. She absorbed the High Life, Hip Life and Arab-influenced music popular in Ghana and Niger during her year-long stay in Africa, just as she did the local sounds of Baltimore, Washington D.C. and the Bay Area, three other cities she has called home. Panamami’s sets are eclectic and informed; from Brazilian beats to dancehall, cumbia , hip hop and more, anything goes when she hits the turntables. Panamami has successfully rocked diverse crowds all over the US by seamlessly moving between genres, handpicking both classic and contemporary songs to keep partygoers on their toes.

guest deejay:
CEE BROWN
Although DJ CeeBrown’s music career started in 1995, his love and passion for music began as a child studying his uncle, an avid record collector in the 70s and 80s. With an ear trained from his youth, CeeBrown’s passion for DJing was ignited by DMC competitions, learning battle routines performed by greats such as the Beat Junkies, X-man & ISP. Through steadfast devotion and a natural talent for the art of performance, Cee Brown quickly acquired turntable skills that would lead to several West Coast Tours in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, and eventually to Europe and Japan, where he solidified himself as an international presence amongst well-respected artists. Between 2004 and 2008, Cee Brown amassed an impressive body of work, releasing various mixtapes, becoming bandmates with Belgium luminary DJ Grazzhoppa, & DJing for The Pharcyde on their critically acclaimed reunion at Rock the Bells Tour (2008).
After decades of refining his craft, Cee Brown is now widely recognized as one of the key figures in Dj culture, both in his hometown of Los Angeles and abroad. To date, his Dj sets have been featured on a number of popular radio shows across the nation, including Southern California’s KPFK and New York’s East Village Radio. Since 2012 he has embarked on several world tours as a Delicious Vinyl Dj with Bizarre Ride Live, a show celebrating the twenty year release of the classic album, Bizarre Ride to the Pharcyde. He currently holds a residency at the famed Nokia Theatre, as well as at Bodega, one of LA’s fastest growing and most popular parties, which he began in 2009.
With an ever widening musical taste that includes hip hop, Brazilian beats, samba, soulful house and Dubstep, Cee Brown continues to reinvent himself, while igniting dance floors across the country and beyond.
